Shoot The Moon Film Screening – Human Side Focus Of Foreclosure Crisis

We’ve seen films like Inside Job focus on the mortgage crises and bring awareness to the Wall Street and Big Bank shenanigans. Tonight the film Shoot The Moon screens in East Palo Alto with a more human-side focus.

The film spotlights Marcy Meyers, a single mom faced with piling bills, and now an imminent home foreclosure. She finds a miracle solution through Shoot the Moon, a national game show that promises a once-in-a-lifetime chance to win it all. But the game show participation comes with a price.

Shoot The Moon Film Screening – Expert Panel

The film will accompany a panel of experts who will explore the reality of foreclosure amongst the poor and into suburbia. Able Works (formerly NCUD) and Windrider Bay Area (WRBA), present the evening of exploring how foreclosures continue to impact communities.

The event will be located at Eastside Preparatory High School in East Palo Alto, CA.

Parking is limited.  Film contains strong language.
